Bihar’s Parag loses in first round of main draw of National sub-junior ranking badminton

Patna, July 28: Parag Singh, the Bihar’s lone hope in boys’ U-15 singles main draw of the Yonex-Sunrsie All India Sub-Junior Ranking Badminton Tournament being played at Navelim (Goa) lost in the first round.

The boy who made into the main draw after five matches in qualifying round was feeling exhausted as he did not get a single day break for the round of 64 match on Wednesday.
An official of the Bihar Badminton Association said that Parag was feeling exhausted. He was also suffering from fever, he added.

Today, Parag will play his first round match in the doubles patterning with Ranveer Singh.

Earlier, on Wednesday evening, Goa chief minister Pramod Sawant inaugurated the tournament. Former chief minister of Goa Digambar Kamat, who is also the patron in chief of Goa Badminton Association, was also present on the occasion.
