Patna, June 20: Bihar’s Avinash Roy and Bhargavi Sharma entered the finals of boys and girl sections respectively of the All India Ranking Under-16 Tennis Championship at Nasseb Sports Academy courts here on Thursday. In the boys semifinals, Avinash Roy beat Arjun Sharma of Uttar Pradesh 2-6, 7-6(5), 6-3.
Now, he will face Amrit Vats of West Bengal in the summit clash. Amrit Vats defeated Sataym Prakash of Bihar 6-3, 2-6, 6-1 to enter the final.
In the girls singles semifinals, Bhargavi Sharma outplayed her state mate Aditi Mishra 6-3, 6-4. Now she will take on Anika Pandey of Karnatka in the final.
