Patna: Bihar women’s kabaddi team began its 36th National Games campaign in Ahmedabad with a comfortable 38-15 victory over hosts Gujarat on Monday.
Giving this information, the deputy chef de mission of Bihar contingent and secretary of the Bihar State Kabaddi Association, Kumar Vijay said that the players of Bihar players performed well in all departments of the games.
Bihar took 12-9 lead in the first half, but in the second half, the players of Bihar excelled in all departments of the game and collected 26 points in their account. Gujarat women players played poorly in the second half and managed to get only six points. For Bihar, captain Ritu Kumari, Muskan, Annu Priya, Sonia and Neelam showed their best. Bihar team’s coach Abhinav Kumar Singh, chef de mission Pradeep Kumar and Bihar Olympic Association secretary Mushtaq Ahmed congratulated the Bihar girls for the victory.
