Patna: On the auspicious occasion of 77th Independence Day, a one-day women’s exhibition football match was organized by the Bihar State Sports Authority (Patna). Bihar Women’s Football XI beat Bihar State Sports Authority Women’s Football team 2-0 to lift the trophy.
Lucky Kumari scored the first goal for Bihar Women’s Football XI in the 30th minute to help her team take a 1-0 lead. Pooja Kumari scored the second goal in the 55th minute and took the lead to 2-0. The Bihar women’s team did not allow the Bihar State Sports Authority team to score a single goal.
Vinay Kumar, Director General, Police Building Construction Corporation Limited, gave away the winners and runners up trophies. Each player of the winning team was given a cash prize of Rs 1500 and a trophy. While the runner-up team was given a trophy along with a cash prize of Rs 1000. Director cum Secretary Pankaj Kumar Raj gave away the certificates to the players.
On this occasion, Bihar Football Association Secretary Imtiaz Hussain, Deputy Director of Bihar State Art Culture Youth Department Sanjay Kumar, Joint Secretary of Softball Association of Bihar Rupak Kumar and Treasurer of Bihar Sepak Takraw Karunesh Kumar were present.
