Bihar Unveils Investment Opportunities at ‘World Food India 2024’ with “Invest Bihar” Pavilion

New Delhi: Bihar Industry Minister, Nitish Mishra, inaugurated the “Invest Bihar” pavilion as part of the state’s participation in World Food India 2024. The event, held at Pragati Maidan, Delhi, from 19th to 22nd September 2024, aims to attract investors to Bihar’s thriving food processing sector. The pavilion was launched in Hangar No. 1, with Ravi Prakash, Director of the Department of Industries, Government of Bihar, and other dignitaries in attendance.

In his opening speech, Minister Nitish Mishra outlined the ‘Invest Bihar’ initiative, which seeks to engage global investors and establish Bihar as a top destination for investment. He highlighted the state’s vast potential in the food processing sector, emphasising the government’s commitment to bringing this potential to every corner of Bihar.

On the first day of the event, the “Invest Bihar” pavilion successfully showcased opportunities in food processing, attracting significant attention from investors and visitors. Several investors engaged in in-depth discussions with officials from the Department of Industries about potential investment projects.

The pavilion features five stalls, each presenting unique products from Bihar. Visitors were particularly impressed by Bihar’s ancient Sonamati wheat from the Harappan era and the world-famous Katarni rice. A startup offering flavoured sattu became an instant hit, while Bihar’s renowned makhana (fox nuts) and Samikha cold-pressed mustard oil also received widespread attention. Startups from Bihar proudly showcased some of the region’s most distinctive and high-quality products.
