Patna: Bihar faced a 41-run defeat against Chhattisgarh in the U-19 Women’s T20 match at SSN Ground, Chennai. After winning the toss, Bihar opted to field first. Chhattisgarh managed to score 109 runs for the loss of four wickets in their 20 overs. Key contributors for Chhattisgarh were Akanksha Rani (21), Siddhikasha Tiwari (14), Sheikh Najia (24), and Radhika Nettle (13), while captain Mehak remained unbeaten with 24 runs and Kalpana added 6. Bihar’s bowlers saw Sagarika take two wickets, with Julie and Khushi Gupta claiming one wicket each.
In response, Bihar struggled, being bowled out for 68 runs in their 20 overs. Khushboo Kumari (10), Khushi Gupta (15), and Sagarika (10) were the only players to reach double figures. Chhattisgarh’s Mansi Upadhyay took three wickets, while Chandni and Mehak secured one wicket each. Four Bihar players were also run out during the innings.
Bihar will face Karnataka in their next match on 2nd October.
