 Bihar struggling against Chhattisgarh in Ranji Trophy

Patna: Chhattisgarh were 90 for one in their first innings in reply to Bihar’s 108 all out in the first innings on the first day of the Ranji Trophy match at the Moinul Haq Stadium here on Friday.

Bihar’s  Akash Raj bowled Chhattisgarh’s opener KD Eknath (25 runs). Bihar team had a very bad start as they lost 4 wickets for 5 runs only. After that, Vipin Saurabh and Sakibul Gani took the centre stage with a  partnership of 78 runs. Vipin Saurabh scored 49 (46ball) runs, Sakibul Ghani scored 30 (68balls) runs. For Chhattisgarh, Ravi Kiran took 5 wickets for 21 runs in 13 overs and Basudev took 3 wickets and Jeevesh took 2 wickets.

In reply to Bihar’s 108 runs, Chhattisgarh made a steady start, Chhattisgarh team was 90 runs at the end of the first day’s play. Rishabh Tiwari was unbeaten on the crease after scoring 42(82) and Ashutosh Singh on 16(45).

BCA officials welcomes Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav at the stadium

Amidst the ongoing Ranji match between Bihar and Chhattisgarh at Moinul Haq Stadium, Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav reached the stadium. The Deputy Chief Minister was also accompanied by officials of Bihar State Sports Authority, Sports Department and BUDCO.

Deputy Chief Minister Moinul Haq spoke in detail to the officials and agency representatives present on the DPR for the new construction of the stadium. On this occasion, Treasurer of Bihar Cricket Association Ashutosh Nandan Singh and representative of district associations Omprakash Jaiswal welcomed the Deputy Chief Minister with a bunch of flowers and a shawl.
