Patna: On the second day of the Bihar State Under 9 Chess Championship organized by Khelo Chess Academy under the aegis of All Bihar Chess Association at Aqua Water Park situated at Saguna Mor on Danapur Road, Devansh and Yuvan were jointly on top in the boys category while Ankita and Trisha were jointly on top in the girls category.
After a total of five rounds including three rounds played in the boys category today, Devansh Keshari of Patna and Yuvan of Muzaffarpur were jointly on top with four and a half points. In the fifth round, while playing on the top board, these two players ended the match indecisive as they did not see a result.
After five rounds, five players were jointly on second place with four points. In the girls’ category, Ankita Raj and Trisha Ranjan of Patna defeated their opponents Devisha Anand and Rajshree respectively in the four rounds played so far and were jointly at the top with four points each. Three other players Kirti Sinha, Arshi Aatish and Aradhya Prakash were jointly at the second position with three points each. Tomorrow, on the last day of the tournament, one more round of matches will be played in both the categories.
