Patna: Kumar Harshit of Patna won the men’s singles title of Bihar State Ranking Table Tennis Championship at Bihar Young Men’s Institute Hall here on Monday. Pragati Goswami bagged the women’s singles title.
In men’s singles final, Kumar Harshit beat Piyush D Gandhi 4-0 in straight sets while in women’s singles final, Pragati Goswami defeated Riyanshi Gupta (Madehpura) 4-2.
Former Bihar player Manoj Kumar gave away the prizes. Bihar Table Tennis Association secretary Mukesh Rai, former champion Sunita Bose, Madhepura District Table Tennis Association secretary Pradeep Srivastava, Katihar District Table Tennis Association secretary JP Sharma, Parvez Alam, Rahul Das, Chulbul Dey, Atanu Chatterjee and many others dignitaries were present on the occasion. Pankaj Pandey conducted the stage.
