Patna, July 13: The 35th Bihar state sub-junior, junior, senior and master powerlifting championships for men and women and Open Classic bench press championships will be held in Patna from July 16 to 17. The championships will be held at Arya Kanya Vidyalaya Hall, Bari Path here.
Bihar State Powerlifting Association secretary Ashok Kumar Mehta said that about 200 men and women from different districts will take part in the tournament.
Patna mayor Sita Sahu will inaugurate the tournament. Director General of Police Arvind Thakur and Bihar Panchayat Raj minister Samrat Chaudhary will be guests of honur.
Rajiv Bhargava, president PDPA, Ajay, vice-president PDPA, Shivam, silver medal winner in Asian championships, promising player and convenor Amit Kishan were present at the press conference.
