Patna: Softball Association of Bihar encouraged its players by felicitating them for their outstanding performance in the national tournaments in the session 2022-23.
In a function organised at Lohia Nagar Mount Carmel School, Gudiya Kumari, Syamali Kumari, Muskan Singh, Pooja Kumari, Lakshmi Kumari, Shevli Kumari Ranjan, Aarohi Raj, and Varsha Sagar in the women’s category, and in the men’s category, Pramod Kumar, Sushant Shekhar, and Prithvi Raj, Monu Kumar, Rajiv Ranjan, Vishnu Ranjan, Saurabh Kumar, Manish Kumar, and coaches Rajesh Kumar, Vipin Kumar, Ravi Rai, and Vijay Kumar were honoured.
Sanjay Kumar, Deputy Director of Bihar State Art Culture and Youth Department, Softball Association of Bihar Chairperson Meenu Singh, President Gautam Kanodia, Chief Patron Ajay Narayan Sharma, Vice President SN Raju, Pradeep Kumar Verma, Shagun Singh, Rajshekhar, Joint Secretary Rupak Kumar, Treasurer Pawan Kumar (Pappu), and Special Guest Dharamveer Patwardhan were present on the occasion. Gautam Kanodia said that the association is fully committed to popularising softball in Bihar. He said that in the coming days, many softball tournaments will be organised in Patna to increase the interest of the players.
Joint secretary Rupak Kumar said that the association is trying to organise a national tournament in Patna. Chairperson Meenu Singh said that at present, softball is going well in Bihar. To speed up the pace of its development, all the people associated with softball and sports lovers have to step forward. Madhu Sharma, former secretary of the association, welcomed the guests.
