Patna: Bihar shooters delivered an outstanding performance at the 8th East Zone Shooting Championship held in Asansol, claiming a total of 20 medals, including 9 gold, 6 silver, and 5 bronze.
Key performances included:
- Preeti Kumari, who secured gold in the 50m Free Pistol Women event.
- Divya Jha, who won silver in the 25m Sports Pistol Junior category.
- Simi Kumari, who earned bronze in the 10m Air Pistol Women, along with silver medals in both the Youth and Sub Youth categories.
Other medallists were:
- Shagun Gupta, who won bronze.
- Balwinder Singh, who achieved gold and bronze in the .22 Open Sight Prong.
- Vikas Kumar, who took bronze in the 10m Air Rifle Men Masters.
