Patna: Under the aegis of Bihar Cycling Association, the 14th Bihar State Road Cycling (Senior, Junior and Sub-Junior) Championship was organised at R Block Atal Path here. The two-day championship was formally inaugurated by director general of Bihar State Sports Authority Raveendran Shakran by releasing balloons and riding a bicycle.
On the first day of the championship, Vikas Kumar Singh (Patna) got first place, Hrithik Raj (Purnia) got second place and Rohit Rai (Patna) got third place in 20 km mass start senior category.
Mayank Kumar (Purnia) bagged first place, Ankit Tirkey (Purnia) got second place and Om (Purnia) got third place in the junior section mass start 15 km. Vikas Kumar Yadav (Parivartan Siwan) got first place, Shashi Yadav (Parivartan Siwan) got second place and Aryan Tejas (Purnia) got third place in the in the mass start 10 km sub-junior boys’ category.
On this occasion vice president of Bihar Cycling Association Vikram Aditya, treasurer Baijnath Prasad, coach AK Lewis, Bihar Ball Badminton Association Secretary Gouri Shankar, Sunny Mehta, Mohd Armaan Ahmed, Rohit Kumar and Aditya Kumar were present. The guests were welcomed by Dr Kaushal Kishore Singh, secretary of the association, while the vote of thanks was proposed by the patron of the association Ramesh Chandra Dubey.
