Bihar players win one gold, four bronze medals in the Junior National Taekwondo Championship

Patna: A 26-member Bihar team went to participate in the three-day Junior National Taekwondo Championship held in Cuttack (Odisha) from Junbe 28 to Jubne 30. Players of Bihar performed brilliantly and won 1 gold and 4 bronze medals.

In this championship, Manjeet Singh Rathore – Under-78 KG (Patna) won gold medal, Rishu Raj – Under-59 KG (Patna) won bronze medal, Chandni Kumari – Under-42 KG (Lakhisarai) won bronze medal, Soumya Sinha – Under-63 KG (Muzaffarpur) won bronze medal, Raj Tiwari – Under-55 KG (Motihari) won bronze medal.

This information has been given by Sudhir Singh, General Secretary of Taekwondo Association of Bihar. He said that all the medal winners have qualified for the selection trials of the Junior World Championship to be held from October 1 to October 6, 2024.

Taekwondo Association of Bihar President Sanjeev Singh, Vice President Jaiprakash Mehta, Joint Secretary Nikhil Kumar, Joint Secretary Aryan Pandey and Badal Kumar (Lakhisarai) and Taekwondo Association of Patna President and State Convenor of BJP Sports Cell Satish Raju congratulated Bihar team and players for winning medals at Junior National.
