Patna: Kerala drubbed Bihar 4-1 in the 76th National Football Championship for Hero Santosh Trophy at EMS Corporation Stadium in Kozhikode on Thursday.
This was Bihar’s second defeat in the tournament. Earlier, Bihar had lost to Jammu and Kashmir.
Nijo Gilbert put Kerala into the lead in the 24th minute of the game. He increased the tally in the 28th minute. Munna Mandi reduced the margin for Bihar in the 70th minute (1-2). Vishak Mohanan swelled the margin for Kerala in 81st minute (3-1) while Abdul Raheem completed the tally for Kerala in the 85th minute (4-1).
Nijo Gilbert was adjudged player of the match.
