Patna: Bihar were 195 for the loss of nine wickets in their first innings in reply to Mumbai’s massive first innings score of 474 runs on the second day of the Col CK Nayudu Trophy U-23 match in Mumbai on Monday.
Apart from openers Ayush Loharika 58 runs and Vaibhav Suryavanshi 79 runs, no other batsman could do anything special for Bihar. At the end of the second day’s play, Bihar were 279 runs behind Mumbai’s first innings score with one wicket in hand.
Resuming the day at 389 for five, Mumbai scored 474 all out. For Mumbai, Angkrish Raghuvanshi scored 117 runs, Suved Parker scored 142 runs, Dibyansh scored one run, Harshal Jadhav scored 15 runs and Atharva Ankolekar scored 37 runs, Saurabh Singh scored57 runs, Vedant Murkar scored 26 runs and Himanshu Singh scored 41 runs.
For Bihar, Anuj Raj and Gagan Kumar took four wickets each and Prashant and Suraj Kashyap took one wicket each.
Bihar team’s openers Vaibhav and Ayush, who came to chase Mumbai’s huge score, made an excellent opening partnership of 133 runs, but after Ayush was out for 58 runs, wickets started falling continuously. Vaibhav also got out after scoring 79 runs, while Shashank Upadhyay was out after scoring 8 runs, Ankit Raj was out without opening his account. Md Alam scored 1 run, Akash Babu scored 8 runs, Suraj Kashyap scored 1 run. At the end of the second day’s play, Akash Raj was unbeaten on 17 runs and Anuj Raj was unbeaten on 7 runs.
For Mumbai, Dhanit Raut took 2 wickets, Atharva Ankolekar took 6 wickets and Atharva Bhosale took one wicket.
