Patna: The girls’ team from Bihar has delivered an impressive performance so far in the 68th National School Under-19 Girls and Boys Kho-Kho Championship, currently underway at Chhatrasal Stadium in New Delhi. The team has successfully advanced to the knockout stage in the girls’ category.
Sharing this update, Neeraj Kumar Pappu, Secretary of the Kho-Kho Association of Bihar, informed that Bihar defeated Jharkhand 18-14 in their opening match. In their second outing, they registered a win against Andhra Pradesh by 1 inning and 2 points. The team is set to face Gujarat in their third match.
In the boys’ category, Bihar secured a convincing 18-8 victory over Jammu and Kashmir. However, they lost their opening match to Assam by 1 inning and 2 points.
Commending the team’s achievement, Director General of Bihar State Sports Authority Raveendran Sankaran, Additional Chief Secretary of the Sports Department B. Rajender, and Association Secretary Neeraj Kumar Pappu extended their congratulations to the players.
