Bihar fighting to save defeat against Chhattisgarh

Patna: On the third day of the Ranji match between Chhattisgarh and Bihar being played at the local Moinul Haq Stadium, Chhattisgarh declared their first innings at 329 runs. Chhattisgarh’s opener Rishabh Tiwari scored 138 runs and Ashutosh scored 134 runs. Chhattisgarh took a lead of 221 runs over Bihar in the first innings. Captain Ashutosh Aman got one wicket for Bihar on the third day of the match. By the end of the third day of play in Ranji Trophy, Bihar scored 144 runs for three wickets.

In the second inning, opener Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who came to bat for Bihar, was out without opening his account. After that, Babul (52 runs) and Sarman (60 runs) collected 113-run for the second wicket. However, both the batsmen were out after scoring their half-centuries. Sakibul Gani was unbeaten on 20 runs and Akash Raj was unbeaten on 11 runs at the end of third day’s play. Bihar were still 77 runs behind Chhattisgarh. For Chhattisgarh, JP Bhutte, Saurabh and Gagandeep took 1 wicket each.
