Bihar clinch 10 gold, 2 bronze medals in National Para Swimming

Patna: Bihar won 10 gold and 2 bronze medals in 22nd National Para Swimming Championship held in Guwahati recently.

Shams Aalam Shaikh (Category S5) clinched 3 gold medals in 200 metres individual medley, 50 metres butterfly and 100 metres breast stroke events.

Wing Commander Shantanu

Wing Commander Shantanu (Category S4) also claimed three gold medals in 100 metres free style, 50 metres back stroke and 100 metres back stroke events.

Mohit Kumar (Category S9) bagged three gold medals in 50 metres free style, 50 metres butterfly and 100 metres individual medley.

Mritunjay Kumar (Category S-10) won two bronze medals in 50 metres free style and 100 metres free style. Mritunjay earned coveted gold medal in 50 metres breast stroke.

Director General of Bihar State Sports Authority Raveen dran Sankaran congratulated Bihar team members for their achievements in National Championship.
