Patna: Bihar beat Jharkhand 2-1 to reach the junior boys team semifinals in the East Zone Inter-State Badminton Championship being held in Kolkata. In the semifinals, Bihar will take on Uttar Pradesh.
In the first singles, Raj Aryan of Bihar lost to Priyanshu Tirkey 14-21, 21-19 and 18-21.
Bihar bounced back in the game winning the doubles match. Bihar combination of Raj Arayn and Amrit Raj beat Jharkhand pair of Niraj Kesri and Harshit Raj 21-14, 21-15.
In the deciding singles, Bihar’s Kartik beat Rounak Negi 21-15, 21-9.
