Patna: The Bihar boys’ team secured third place in the 43rd Sub Junior National Ball Badminton Championship, held in Rohtak, Haryana. According to Bihar Ball Badminton Association Secretary Gouri Shankar, the team lost a hard-fought semi-final match against champions Andhra Pradesh, with scores of 35-27 and 35-31. However, based on championship points, Bihar earned the third position.
Anshu Raj from Kilkari, Begusarai, was a standout performer for the Bihar boys’ team and was awarded the prestigious Best Player Award of the championship.
In the girls’ category, Kajal Kumari from Siwan shone brightly, earning the “Best Upcoming Player Award” for her promising performance.
The Bihar Ball Badminton Association’s President Prof. Nawal Kishore Yadav, along with Vice President Prof. Suhaili Mehta, Mithilesh Kumar Mandal, Director Pawan Kumar Kejriwal, State Secretary Gouri Shankar, Joint Secretary Mitali Mitra, Ranjan Gupta, Rakesh Ranjan, Anamika Paswan, Patna District Secretary Dr. Arun Dayal, Senior National Player Deepak Prakash Ranjan, Neha Rani, Technical Chairman Deepak Singh Kashyap, Technical Officer Santosh Sharma, and Physical Education Teacher Shiv Narayan Pal, congratulated the team on their impressive achievement.
