Patna: Bihar athletes showcased outstanding performances at the 7th National Cadet Kyorugi and Poomsae Taekwondo Championship, held at the Port Trust Diamond Jubilee Indoor Stadium in Visakhapatnam. The team secured one gold and three bronze medals in the Kyorugi event.
Himanshu Kumar clinched the gold medal in the under-57 kg weight category, while Rohit Saini earned a bronze in the under-45 kg category. Shantanu Patel also won a bronze in the under-61 kg category, and Ananya Kumari brought further pride to Bihar with a bronze medal in the girls’ under-59 kg category.
Samta Rahi, Joint Secretary of the Bihar Taekwondo Association, congratulated the medalists and their coach, expressing confidence in their continued success. The Bihar Taekwondo Association President, Shashibala Badani, along with General Secretary Rajesh Kumar Sahu, Vice President Birendra Kumar, Arun Kumar, Joint Secretary Nandu Kumar, Treasurer Manish Chandra Roy, Executive Members Dharmendra Kumar, Kamal Patel, Suman Prakash Ranjan, and Coach Vishwajeet Kumar, also extended their congratulations and best wishes to the team.
