Patna: PSFA trounced Gandhi Maidan FC 5-1 in the Rekha Devi Memorial Patna District Junior Division Football League match being played under the aegis of Patna Football Association at Sanjay Gandhi Stadium on Wednesday.
Shahid Ekram scored in the 6th, Aditya Kumar in the 27th, Pankaj Kumar in the 37th, Md Kaif in the 57th minutes of the game. Aditya Kumar scored a goal again in the 58th minute for PSFA.
Sumit Kumar scored for Gandhi Maidan FC in the 16th minute of the game. Former state footballer Indrakant presented the player of the match award to Shahid Ekram of the winning team.
Pankaj of PSFA and Shubham and Guddu Kumar of Gandhi Maidan were shown yellow cards by referee Kailash Prasad. The referees of the match were Kailash Prasad, Mukesh Kumar, Jai Kumar Rajak and Fazle Ali.
In the other match, Patna Academy got a walkover as Gulzar Bagh FC did not turn up.
Patna Football Association Secretary Manoj Kumar said that the last league match of this season will be played on Thursday. The first match will be played between Dujra FC vs Nathan International School from 1 pm.
The second match was scheduled to take place between Musallahpur FC and St Michael’s FC. But St Michael’s FC has urged that they would not to appear in the match, so full marks have been given to Musallahpur FC.
He said that both the semi-final matches will be played on April 21 and the final match will be held on April 24.
