Bhojpur, East Champaran, Patna, Jehanabad , Muzaffarpur post wins in Shyamal Sinha U-16 Cricket League

Patna: Bhojpur beat Buxar by nine wickets, East Champaran beat West Champaran by 13 runs, Patna beat Saran by 162 runs, Muzaffarpur beat Saharsa by 52 runs and Jehanabad beat Gaya by 14 runs in In the Shyamal Sinha U-16 Cricket League organised by the Bihar Cricket Association at different venues of Bihar.

Batting first, Buxar scored 78 runs in 24.4 overs at Jagjivan Stadium in Kaimur. In reply, Bhojpur won the match by scoring 79 runs in 18.2 overs. For Buxar, Nikhil scored 24 runs, Akshay scored 15 runs and Ravi scored 10 runs. Shivam of Bhojpur took 4 wickets, Aditya and Archit took two wickets each. Mohit and Arjun took one wicket each.

At Railway Stadium in Sonepur, Patna won the toss and scored 269 runs in 40 overs. In reply, Saran were all out for 107 runs in 24.5 overs. Patna won the match by 162 runs. For Patna, Surya scored 100 runs, Manjeet scored 36 runs, Ayush scored 23 runs, Guddu made 27 runs, Shubham Dubey made 24 runs and Akash scored 15 runs.  For Saran, Aman Kumar took 4 wickets, Yuvraj took 3 wickets and Amir Zia took 2 wickets.

Surya of Patna hits century

In reply, Saran were all out for 107 runs in 24.5 overs. Aman Kumar made 31 runs and  Rehan Alam scored 21 runs. For Patna, Shubham Dubey and Sunny Kumar took three wickets each and Kartik took one wicket.

Muzaffarpur scored 221 runs for nine wickets in the stipulated 40 overs thanks to Rishant’s 63 and Aditya Kumar 64 runs in Begusarai. Aniket Kumar Gupta and Prabhakar Kumar took three wickets each for Saharsa. Danish Khan took two wickets. In reply, Saharsa could manage to score only 169 for the loss of five wickets in 40 overs. Danish Khan contributed 60 not out, Aman Raj scored 35 and Wasit Ali scored contributed 31 runs. Monu, Kushdev and Aryan took one wicket each for Muzaffarpur. Muzaffarpur won the match by 52 runs.

Electing to bat after winning the toss at Siwan Rajendra Stadium, East Champaran scored 128/10 runs in 29.1 overs. Abhishek contributed 28 runs while Aryan contributed 20 runs. West Champaran bowler Dileep took 5 wickets while Tribhuvan got 2 wickets.

Chasing a small target, the West Champaran batting also collapsed. Despite Ayush’s brilliant 70 runs and Prince’s 17 runs, the entire  West Champaran team was bundled out for 115off 24.3 overs. East Champaran bowlers Manikant took 4 wickets while Tushar, Abhishek and Jagat got 3, 2 and 1 wickets respectively.

Jehanabad defeated Gaya by 14 runs at Sheikhpura . Batting first after winning the toss, Jehanabad made 122 runs. Sonu Yadav scored 35, Prashant scored 20 and Rajkamal scored 17 runs for Jehanabad.

For Gaya, Abhishek and Avinash took three wickets each, and Yashashvi took two wickets. Gaya needed 123 runs to win the match but Gaya team was dismissed for 108 runs in 31 overs. Ayush scored 30 runs, Akhilesh scored 17 runs and Yashashvi scored 21 runs for Gaya. Rajkamal got 3 wickets, Ayush and Sonu Yadav got two wickets each for Jehanabad.
