Begusarai on the threshold of victory against Muzaffarpur in BCA Senior Men’s Cricket Tournament

Patna, June 24: Begusarai inched closer to victory in the BCA Senior Men’s Cricket Tournament Super League over Muzaffarpur at the local Moinul Haqu Stadium here on Monday. In this match, Begusarai scored a huge score of 343 runs after losing all the wickets in the first innings, in response to which Muzaffarpur could score only 157 runs in the first innings.

Begusarai got a lead of 186 runs in the first innings, and Muzaffarpur had to play follow-on. Playing follow-on, Muzaffarpur scoring 116 runs for six wickets, still 70 runs behind Begusarai’s first innings.

While batting in the first innings for Muzaffarpur, Chiranjeevi scored 17 runs, Ankit Singh scored 21 runs, Shivam Kumar scored 52 runs and Atulya Priyankar scored 43 runs. While playing the follow-on, in the second innings, Chiranjeevi scored 38 runs, Aditya Kumar scored 10 runs, Kunal Kishore scored 28 runs and Vikash Ranjan scored 31 runs. Atulya Priyankar was unbeaten on 3 runs and Shuvam Kumar was unbeaten on 2 runs till the end of the second day’s play.

For Begusarai, Sabarjit Yadav took five wickets and Atul Prakash took four wickets in the first innings of Muzaffarpur. IN the second innings, Kishan Kumar and Sabarjit Yadav of Begusarai took two wickets each while Aditya Jha and Atul Prakash took one wicket each.
