Begusarai, June 3: Begusarai triumphed over Saharsa by 92 runs in the Central Zone of the Shyamal Sinha Inter District Under-16 Cricket Tournament, thanks to stellar half-centuries from Lequaullah and Krishna Kumar.
Begusarai Innings:
After winning the toss and electing to bat first at the local Barauni Fertilizer ground, Begusarai posted a formidable total of 306 for 8 in their allotted 40 overs. Lequaullah led the charge with a brilliant 97 off 68 balls, which included 12 fours and 3 sixes. He was well-supported by Krishna Kumar, who scored 54 runs off 50 balls, featuring 7 fours. Additional contributions came from Avnish Poddar (37 runs), Priyanshu Raj (35 runs), and Abhinav (23 runs off 43 balls with 4 fours). Extras contributed a significant 45 runs to the total.
