Patna: Bihar Cricket Association (BCA) President, Rakesh Kumar Tiwari, extended his congratulations to Bihar’s own Vaibhav Suryavanshi for his outstanding half-century in the Under-19 Asia Cup match against the UAE.
Tiwari highlighted Vaibhav’s crucial knock of 76 runs, which helped India secure a 10-wicket victory and ensured the team’s progression to the semi-finals. “Vaibhav displayed exceptional skill in the match, hitting fours and sixes with ease. The Bihar Cricket Association congratulates him and the entire Indian team for this achievement,” said Tiwari.
He also noted that a player’s potential cannot be judged based on just one or two matches. “Although Vaibhav struggled in the first two games, his brilliant innings against the UAE proves his talent. All of us in Bihar wish him a bright future in cricket and the best of luck for the upcoming matches. We hope the Indian team clinches the Under-19 Asia Cup title.”
The BCA president’s remarks reflect pride in the young cricketer’s achievement and encouragement for continued excellence in the tournament.

Earlier, the UAE elected to bat first but struggled against India’s disciplined bowling attack. They were bowled out for 137 with six overs remaining. Muhammad Rayan was the top scorer for the UAE with 35 runs, while Akshat Rai contributed a valuable 26. For India, Yudajit Guha was the standout bowler, claiming three wickets.
