BCA Appoints Former Cricketer Anand Yalvigi as Director of Cricket Development and Operations

Patna: The Bihar Cricket Association (BCA) has announced the appointment of former cricketer Anand Yalvigi as the Director of Cricket Development and Operations. This decision was made during the recent general body meeting of the BCA.

Anand Yalvigi, a seasoned first-class cricketer, has represented India’s junior teams and has been part of Ranji Trophy-winning squads for Karnataka and Mumbai. Additionally, he has served as a selector for Mumbai’s junior and Ranji teams for several years.

Expressing his delight at the appointment, BCA President Rakesh Tiwari stated, “We are thrilled to welcome Anand Yalvigi as the Director of Cricket Development and Operations at the Bihar Cricket Association.”

He further added, “With his extensive experience in cricket and sports management, we are confident that his leadership skills and vision will play a pivotal role in the development of cricket in Bihar. Together, we aim to elevate Bihar cricket to new heights.”

Anand Yalvigi is also a seasoned sports management professional, having held various roles in cricket operations and sports management for nearly two decades. Throughout his career, he has successfully overseen numerous cricket leagues and development projects.

In his new role at the BCA, Yalvigi will spearhead cricket operations and development initiatives. His responsibilities will include formulating new policies, streamlining cricket operations, managing sports infrastructure, providing analytical and administrative support, and coordinating with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on matters related to Bihar cricket.

In an official statement, the Bihar Cricket Association said, “With his vast experience, leadership qualities, and profound understanding of the game, we are confident that he will help propel Bihar cricket to new heights in the upcoming season.”
