Patna: Baroda claimed a dominant 89-run victory over Bihar in the Women’s U-19 20 Tournament at SSN Ground, Chennai, on Sunday. After winning the toss and electing to bat, Baroda posted a competitive total of 126 for 4 in their 20 overs. In response, Bihar struggled and were bowled out for just 37 runs in 14.1 overs.
Mesvi Poker led Baroda’s innings with a solid 40 before retiring hurt, while Vidhi added 27 runs, and Prapti chipped in with 15. Ananya Tiwari was the pick of the bowlers for Bihar, taking 2 wickets, while Julie claimed 1 and a run-out added to the dismissals.
Bihar’s batting faltered in their chase, with Ananya Tiwari managing a top score of 10 runs. No other player reached double figures, as Baroda’s bowling unit took control. Vidhi, Sneha, and Riddhi each took 2 wickets, while Tanvi took 1, and three players were run out.
Bihar will look to bounce back in their next match against Gujarat on 8th October.
