Baroda Gain Upper Hand Against Bihar on Day One of CK Nayudu Trophy

Patna: Baroda took the lead in the first innings against Bihar in the CK Nayudu Trophy match held at GSFC Cricket Ground, Vadodara. Bihar, having won the toss and elected to bat first, were dismissed for 91 runs. In response, Baroda reached 149 for 4 by the close of the first day’s play.

For Bihar, only three players – Animesh Kumar (32), Shivam Kumar (22), and Himanshu Tiwari (24) – managed to score in double figures, while five batsmen were dismissed without scoring. Aryan and Vaibhav were the standout bowlers for Baroda, each claiming four wickets, with Karan and Priyanshu taking one wicket apiece.

Baroda’s response saw them score 149 runs for the loss of four wickets at stumps. Nitya top-scored with 48 runs, supported by Harsh with 34, Priyanshu with 21, and Bhavishya with 11. At the end of the day, Jadav Rajveer Singh was unbeaten on 2, while Patidar remained not out on 26. For Bihar, Manish Kumar took two wickets, while Suraj Kashyap and Animesh claimed one each.
