Bihar Sharif, May 2: In Pool C of the Randhir Verma Under-19 Cricket Super League, organized by the Bihar Cricket Association (BCA), the match between Vaishali and Aurangabad commenced at Ekangardih in Nalanda district. On the opening day, Aurangabad was bowled out for 198 runs in 47.3 overs. By the day’s end, Vaishali reached 127 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 40 overs.
Harsh Giri contributed 53 runs, and Nitish Suchit Kumar added 67 runs for Aurangabad. Additionally, Ankush Agrawal of Aurangabad claimed five wickets. Ankit Kumar scored 52 runs for Vaishali.
Opting to bat first after winning the toss, Aurangabad’s top order struggled. The team lost four wickets for just 6 runs, followed by another collapse at 47 runs for five wickets. However, Harsh Giri and Nitish Suchit Kumar salvaged Aurangabad’s innings, steering them to a respectable total of 198 runs. Giri scored 53 runs from 75 balls, including 6 fours and 2 sixes, while Nitish Suchit Kumar contributed 67 runs from 100 balls, featuring 9 fours and 1 six. Sonal Singh Rajput remained unbeaten with 24 runs.

In their first innings, apart from the opening pair, Aurangabad’s batsmen struggled to build a substantial total. Nand Kishore scored 26 runs, while Ankit Kumar reached a half-century with 52 runs, and Adarsh Kumar contributed 16 runs. At stumps on the first day, Aniket was unbeaten on 9 runs, Nitish on 7 runs, with Vaishali trailing by 71 runs.
For Aurangabad, Ankush Kumar Agrawal claimed 5 wickets for 31 runs, while Nitish Siddheshwar Kumar took 2 wickets for 19 runs.
