Patna: Assam scored 235 runs for the loss of five wickets against Bihar on the first day of their Ranji Trophy match in Guwahati on Friday.
Bihar won the toss and decided to field. In the first day’s match, Assam were 235 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 86 overs. Pervez Musharraf scored 89 runs in 191 balls with the help of 8 fours and one six, Rahul Hazarika scored 22 runs, Swaroopam Prakustha scored 2 runs, Rishabh Das and Danish Das both returned to the pavilion without opening their accounts. Wicketkeeper Abhishek Thakuri was unbeaten on 77 runs and Shahil Jain was unbeaten on 20 runs. Bihar team gave 25 runs as extras.
