Patna: Arwal became group champion defeating Vaishali by 48 runs in the Patliputra Zone of Randhir Verma U-19 Cricket Tournament in Sonepur.
Arwal scored 220 for 9 wickets off 50 overs. Pankaj scored 76 and Aditya made 36 runs. Harsh, Kartik and Adarsh took 2 wickets each for Vaishali.
In reply, Vaishali were all out for 172 runs. Utsav scored 45 runs. Manas took 4 wickets while, Pankaj and Aditya bagged two wickets each.
Buxar registered their only win defeating Rohtas by 82 runs at Jagjivan Stadium in Shahabad zone. Buxar scored 232 runs losing 8 wickets in 50 overs. For Buxar, Sachin made 78 runs and Sumit Kumar scored 50 runs. For Rohtasm Pratham took 3 wickets and Arpit took 2 wickets.
Chasing 232 to win, Rohtas were all out for 150 runs. For Rohtas, Siddharth scored 37 runs and Ravi Kumar scored 29 runs. For Buxar, Kanhaiya got 5 wickets and Prakash took 4 wickets.
