Patna: In a crucial quarter-final match of the Randhir Verma Under-19 One Day Trophy 2024–25, organised by the Bihar Cricket Association, Araria defeated Siwan by 7 wickets to secure a place in the semi-finals. The match was played at the Moinul Haq Stadium in Patna. Araria will now face Patna in the semi-final.
Winning the toss and electing to bat first, Siwan were bowled out for 111 runs in 31.1 overs. For Siwan, Mohit Vijay Yadav scored 16, Sarfaraz Mehboob Alam 14, Pankaj Kumar Singh 28, and Ritesh Kumar Bageshwar remained unbeaten on 13 runs.
Araria’s bowlers delivered a disciplined performance. Aryan Anil Raj took 3 wickets for 26 runs in 6 overs. Akshay Kumar Vishwas bowled 8 overs with 5 maidens, giving away just 11 runs and picking up 2 wickets. Ujjwal Raj took 2 wickets for 22 runs in 5 overs, Aman Sanjay Raj took 1 for 17 in 5 overs, Shivam Kumar Jha took 1 for 14 in 4 overs, and captain Adarsh Vivek Singh took 1 for 16 in 3.1 overs.
Chasing the target, Araria reached 113 for 3 in 17.5 overs. In batting, Shivam Amrendra Kumar scored 22, Krish Pramod Kumar 23, captain Adarsh Vivek Singh 10, while Akshay Kumar Vishwas remained unbeaten on 11 and Aman Sanjay Raj on 34 to take the team to victory.

The semi-final between Araria and Patna will be played on May 23, 2025 at 7:30 AM at the Moinul Haq Stadium in Patna. This decisive match will determine one of the finalists of the tournament.
