Appi, Gudiya, Nitish, Vikas bag gold medals in Bihar Road Cycling

Patna: Under the aegis of Cycling Association of Bihar, on the last day of the 14th State Road Cycling (Senior, Junior and Sub-Junior) Championship, Appi Kumari (Motihari) claimed gold medal in the mass start event of junior girls’ category. Anjali also from Motihar bagged the silver while Maju of Patna got the bronze medal.

In the sub-junior girls’ mass start event, Gudiya Kumari (Siwan) stood first, Srishti Kumari (Motihari) came second and Priyanshu Kumari (Motihari) became third. In the junior boys’ individual time event, Nitish Kumar (Patna) bagged gold medal, Mayank Raj (Purnia) got silver medal while Ankit Tirkey (Purnia) got the bronze medal.

In the sub-junior boys’ individual time event, Vikas Kumar Yadav (Siwan) clinched the gold medal, Aryan Tejas (Purnia) bagged the silver medal while Shashi Yadav (Siwan) bagged the bronze medal. Ramesh Chandra Dubey, patron of Cycling Association of Bihar gave away the prizes. Cycling Association of Bihar secretary Dr Kaushal Kishore Singh, vice president Vikram Aditya, treasurer Baijnath Prasad, coach AK Lewis, Bihar Ball Badminton Association secretary Gouri Shankar, Tej Narayan and Aditya Kumar were present on the occasion.
