Anjali Kumari Leads Team A to Victory in BCA Women’s Under-19 T20 Trophy

Jamui, June 15: Anjali Kumari led Team A to victory in the BCA Women’s Under-19 T20 Trophy on Friday. Despite Team A’s batsmen falling one by one, Anjali anchored one end and guided her team to the championship. In the final match, Team A defeated Team F by 3 wickets. Although Ananya Tiwari delivered an outstanding performance throughout the tournament and the match, her efforts fell short of securing the title for her team. Ananya scored a brilliant 71 runs and took 3 wickets, but it was not enough to clinch the victory.

In the match held at the local Sri Krishna Stadium, Team F posted a score of 110 runs for 3 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. In response, Team A chased down the target, scoring 111 runs for 7 wickets in 19.5 overs to win the match.

Team A won the toss and opted to field first. Team F, bolstered by Ananya Tiwari’s half-century, managed 110 runs for 3 wickets in 20 overs. Geetanjali Rani contributed 22 runs. For Team A, Baby Rosie, Kumkum Kumari, and Mahi Ananya each took one wicket.

Chasing the target of 111 runs, Team A reached the goal in 19.5 overs with 7 wickets down. Anjali Kumari scored an unbeaten 47 runs, and Khushi Gupta added 17 runs. From Team F, Ananya Tiwari claimed 3 wickets, and Nandini took 2 wickets.

The players were honored by Jamui District Cricket Association President Manoj Singh and Vice President Ashok Singh. Ananya Tiwari of Team F received the Player of the Match and Player of the Tournament awards from President Manoj Singh. The Best Batter award went to Jiya Singh, presented by Black Diamond Education Group Director Anil Singh.
