Patna: Andhra registered an innings and 177 runs victory over Bihar on the second day of Cooch Behar Trophy match at the ACA International Stadium in Mangalagiri (Amaravati) on Sunday.
Batting first after winning the toss, Andhra scored 341 runs all out in 106.1 overs in their first innings. Bihar were all out for 73 runs in their first against an accurate and nippy bowling attack of Andhra Pradesh in only 29 overs. Forced to follow on, Bihar could manage to score 92 runs in their second innings.
In Bihar’s first innings, Animesh top-scored with 22 runs while Shrey scored 15 runs. In the second innings, Vishwajeet Shukla scored 53 runs in 36 balls. Bowler Mallikarjuna and SK Adil Hussain played an important role in this victory of Andhra. In the second innings, Mallikarjuna took 5 wickets for 49 runs in 9 overs and Adil Hussain took 3 wickets for 11 runs in 2.4 overs.
In the first innings, Adil took 5 wickets and Mallikarjuna took 3 wickets. For Bihar, Anup bagged four wickets and Aditya got two wickets.
