Bhagalpur: Union home minister Amit Shah targeted both Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and RJD chief Lalu Prasad while addressing BJP’s Jan Bhavana Mahasabha at Purnia today. Meeting of Shah at bordering district had generated much political interest in state.
From speech of Shah at Jan Bhavana Mahsabha today it was clear BJP is likely to further step up attack on both JD (U) and RJD in light of recent political move of chief minister Nitish Kumar that led to formation of JD(U)-RJD government in state.
Home minister said Nitish Kumar has betrayed people of state. Though JD(U) had won less number of seats in last assembly election compared to BJP however he was made chief minister since he was projected as chief minister face of NDA prior to election, Shah said.
He added Kumar is in habit of betraying his leaders as well as party men. In lighter vein he cautioned Lalu Prasad that he needs to remain alert since there is chances Kumar could join hands with Congress leaving him.
Citing situation in state during RJD rule, Shah said Jungle Raj has returned in state. People who believe in policy of appeasement have returned to power in state home minster further said adding infiltration is major problem in Seemanchal region of Bihar.
However people need not to worry as problem would be properly taken care of by government of PM Modi, home minister assured. He said central government had always provided Bihar more funds than what had been demanded.
Quoting figures Shah said CM Nitish Kumar should tell people what happened to the funds. He said BJP will get full majority in 2024 and 2025 elections. Senior state BJP leaders including state president of party Dr Sanjay Jaiswal was present on the occasion. Party workers besides people from adjoining bordering districts participated in Jan Bhavana Mahasabha.
