Patna: Defending champions YMCC have been eliminated from the title race of the Patna District Senior Division Cricket League. In the second Super League match, they were defeated by Adhikari Eleven by 18 runs. With this result, ERCC and Adhikari Eleven from Pool A have advanced to the semifinals. The upcoming match between Adhikari Eleven and ERCC will determine the pool topper.
In this match, Virat Pandey made every effort to secure victory for YMCC but fell short. He played a brilliant innings of 136 runs. Earlier, Akash Raj of Adhikari Eleven scored 113 runs and took one wicket, earning the Player of the Match title.
The match was played at the 22 Yards Cricket Academy Ground. YMCC won the toss and chose to field first. Adhikari Eleven got off to a shaky start as opener Rajnikant was dismissed for just 3 runs. Then, Monu Kumar and Akash Raj stabilized the innings with a 56-run partnership. After Monu was dismissed, Akash Raj found solid support in Kumar Rajneesh, and together they pushed the score past 200. Roshan also batted well later, and Adhikari Eleven were all out for 295 runs in 39.4 overs.
In reply, YMCC were bowled out for 277 in 39.1 overs. Virat Pandey stood tall with a magnificent 136 off 101 balls (16 fours, 6 sixes) and nearly led his team to victory. He was well-supported by Satyam, who scored 58 runs off 42 balls (5 fours, 4 sixes) in a crucial 98-run partnership. However, after their stand was broken, no other batter could provide the necessary support, and YMCC fell short.
