Accounts and Entitlement Team Wins Audit and Accounts Cricket Title

Patna: Under the aegis of Entertainment Club, Accountant General Bhawan, Patna, the Inter Office Tennis Ball Cricket Tournament was organised for the personnel of the Indian Audit and Accounts Department located in Bihar State on March 16 and 17 at Jagjivan Stadium, Danapur. A total of 6 teams participated in the tournament. Dividing all the 6 teams into two groups, the team of the Principal Accountant General (Audit), the team of the Director General (Railway Audit), and the team of Finance and Communication Audit were placed in Group A. The Accountant General (Accounts and Entitlement) team, Central Audit team and Defence Services Audit team were kept in pool B.

All the teams in Group A won one match each, but on the basis of a better run rate, the Finance and Communication Audit team from Group A reached the finals. The Accounts and Entitlement team from Group B entered the finals by winning all their two league matches from Group B.

In the final match, the Accounts and Entitlement team defeated the Finance and Communication Audit team by 6 runs.

Kumar Chandresh, Director, Defence Services (Audit), Eastern Command, was made the nodal officer for this cricket tournament, while  Pushpalata Senior Sub Accountant and Shiv Shankar Senior Sub Accountant were supervising the successful conduct of the tournament. During the tournament, Ajit Kumar, Director of Finance and Communications Audit, and R K Tiwari, Director (Central Audit), were also present. Shankara Nand Jha, Hindi Officer and Gaurav Prakash Dubey, Assistant Audit Officer played an important role in organising the tournament. During the closing address of the tournament, Raj Kumar, the principal auditor general, congratulated the winning and runner-up teams. He wished all the best for the future to the players of all the teams participating in the tournament.
