Patna: The Abhishek Memorial Under-16 Inter-School Cricket Tournament commenced on Sunday at the Bihar Cricket Academy Ground, located on the La Martiniere World School campus, under the auspices of the Sardar Patel Sports Foundation. The inauguration was led by Sunil Kumar Singh and Jyoti Singh, the parents of late Abhishek, along with social worker Rahul Kumar, who jointly cut the ribbon and interacted with the participating players. Sardar Patel Sports Foundation’s General Secretary, Naveen Kumar, Founder Santosh Tiwari, and academy coach Ashutosh Jyoti Singh welcomed the guests by presenting bouquets, shawls, and mementos.
On the opening day, Cricket Academy of Patna (CAP) and Basawan Park Cricket Academy (BPCA) secured victories in their respective matches.
