Bhagalpur, Bihar, India:
Fire in a truck carrying LPG cylinders led to serious chaos and confusion on NH-31 late last night near Satishnagar located at border of Bhagalpur and Khagaria districts under Naugachia police district. The LPG cylinders on truck started exploding following fire.
The fire followed by sound of explosion led to chaos and confusion. The movement of vehicles on highway was stopped by police following receipt of information about the accident.
The cylinders continuing to explode for long time, movement of traffic on highway remained paralyzed for hours. Fire tenders were rushed to site of accident immediately by local administration on receipt of information about the incident.
The firemen had to face tough time in controlling the fire. Fortunately no one was injured in fire and explosion since the place where truck caught fire is situated far from locality. Movement of vehicles remaining paralyzed for hours, large number of vehicles were stranded on both side of highway.
