Patna: St Karen’s School and St Joseph’s School Barh jointly won the overall title of Patna District Junior Athletics Championship held under the aegis of Athletics Association of Patna at Pataliputra Sports Complex on Tuesday. Both the teams had scored a total of 36-36 points from different events. St Karen’s School became champion in U-16 girls’ category while Unity Club Patna became champion in U-16 boys’ category.
Earlier, the championship was inaugurated by Liaquat Ali, Secretary of Bihar Athletics Association while BAA Vice President Mohammad Salahe gave away the prizes. A total of 250 players from 15 schools and clubs participated in this championship. This information was given by Patna Athletics Association’s acting secretary Nirmal Kumar.
