Vishuddha, Vikram, Minky, Arshi earn full points in Balkeshwar Memorial Open Chess

Patna: International rated player Vishuddha Nischal beat Akarsh Jaynandan to earn full points in the men’s section of the 4th Balkeshwar Memorial Open Chess Chapionship being played at Deshratna Rajendra Prasad Auditorium, Bihar Vidyapeeth, Sadaquat Ashram here.

In the other matches, Vikram Gehlot defeated Vishnudev, Ayush Raj defeated Devansh Kesari, Kartikeya Nandan defeated Dheeraj, Kishan Kumar beat Abhishek Raj.

In the women’s category, Minky Sinha defeated Ankita Raj, Arshi defeated Khushbu Rani, Babli defeated Shiksha Sadhana, Divyasha defeated Sonali Mukta. The match played between Pammi Rani and Priya Rani ended in a draw.

Earlier today, the second day’s game was jointly inaugurated by Shubhash Narayan, officer-in-charge of confidential branch of district administration (Patna) and chief operating officer AIC Bihar Vidyapeeth. MVP Chess Club president Dr Arvind Kumar, secretary Ved Prakash and convener Mitali Mitra were present on the occasion.

Tomorrow (December 7) at 1.30 pm, Bihar Legislative Council member Prof. Nawal Kishore Yadav will preside over the Day third’s function while Bihar Vidyapeeth president Vijay Prakash and Patna University NSS Coordinator Prof Suheli Mehta will be the special guests.
