Patna: Carrom, chess and badminton tournaments were held on the second day of the Annual Sports Week of Lohia Nagar Mount Carmel High School in Kankarbagh here on Friday. On the second day of the sports week, tournaments of senior, sub-junior and junior categories were held.
Sports head of the school Rupak Kumar said that the tournaments of the girls’ category will start from Monday. Milind Priya of class 2B was the winner and Vivek Kumar of class 3A was the runner up in the sub-junior category of chess event. In the junior category, Mayank Raj of class 5B and Satyam Sai of class 5C were the winner and runner-up respectively.
In the sub-junior category of carrom, Aryan Trivedi of class 2B was the winner and Ayush Singh was the runner-up, while in the junior category, Ayush Patel of class 5B was the winner and Manirup Raj of class 5B was the runner-up.
In the senior category Yashmit Raj of class 7B was the winner in carrom while Aditya Shankar of class 7B was the runner up, in chess Satyam Raj of class IX and Abhishek Kumar of class 7C were the winner and runner up respectively.
In the junior category of badminton, Achyut Singh of class 5B was the winner and Ayush Mishra of class 4B was the runner-up. Shubh Kumar and Aditya Raj of class 2B were the winner and runner-up respectively in the sub-junior category badminton.
