Annual sports of Lohia Nagar Mount Carmel School begins

Patna:  The annual sports meet of Lohia Nagar Mount Carmel High School, Kankarbagh began on Thursday. School director Meenu Singh and Principal Shalini Singh inaugurated the annual sports meet by playing carrom. On the first day, carrom and chess events were held. Badminton and kabaddi  events will be held on Friday. Students from classes II to VI participated enthusiastically in the carom and chess events on the first day of the game.

Sports Head Rupak Kumar said that the annual sports event is held every year with the beginning of Annual Sports Week. The grand finale will be held at Patliputra Sports Complex on December 23 and 24. Various outdoor games will be organised on this occasion. The participating students will be awarded in the midst of a cultural program.

School Principal Shalini Singh said that there will be separate competitions for girls in this Annual Sports Week. Cricket will be held separated this year and that will be organised on a large scale.

She expressed happiness that Dhananjay Kumar Singh, a student of Class IX of the school, has been selected in the Bihar team for Vijay Merchant Trophy, a domestic tournament of the BCCI. She said that it is also a matter of pride that a class 12th student Harsh Raj has been selected in the Bihar Under-19 Cooch Behar Trophy team.

School Director Meenu Singh, Administrator Avadh Kishore Prasad, Sports Head Ruak Kumar, Administrator of Boys Wing Sandeep Kumar Singh, Manish Chandra Pathak, Subhadra Kumari extended best wishes on their selection of two players of the school in Bihar team.
