Patna: Dony Polo Public School and SDV Public School have advanced to the final of the All India Sukhdeo Narain Memorial Inter-School Cricket Tournament. In the super semi-finals held on Thursday, Dony Polo Public School triumphed over Gravity High School by 18 runs, while SDV Public School secured a commanding 8-wicket victory against Cambridge Public School.
The organising committee’s secretary, Bijoy Kumar Narain Chunnu, announced that the final will be held on 30th October at Urja Stadium and will be played as a day-night fixture.
Ronit’s Stellar Batting Performance
In the first semi-final, held at Jagjivan Stadium in Khagaul, Cambridge Public School elected to bat after winning the toss. They posted a total of 129 runs in 18.1 overs before being bowled out. In response, SDV Public School chased down the target comfortably, scoring 133 runs for the loss of two wickets in just 12.1 overs. Ronit from SDV Public School delivered a match-winning performance, remaining unbeaten on 85 runs, and was awarded Player of the Match by Bijoy Kumar Narain Chunnu.
Mohit and Hrithik Seth Lead Dony Polo to Victory
In the second semi-final, Dony Polo Public School defeated Gravity High School by 18 runs. After winning the toss and opting to bat, Dony Polo was bowled out for 135 runs in 18.3 overs. In reply, Gravity High School’s innings faltered, with the team being dismissed for 117 runs in 18.3 overs. Hrithik Seth’s excellent bowling, taking 4 wickets for 19 runs, earned him the Player of the Match award, presented by Anjani Sinha and former Ranji player Rakesh Sinha.
