Patna: Assam secured a six-wicket victory over Bihar in the third match of the Women’s Senior T-20 Trophy at the KCA Ground, Mangalapuram. After winning the toss, Bihar opted to bat first and posted a total of 124 runs for three wickets in their allotted 20 overs. In response, Assam successfully chased down the target, scoring 126 runs for the loss of four wickets in 16.2 overs.
Bihar’s batting was anchored by Preeti, who played a commendable knock of 56 runs, while Yashita added a valuable 47. Apoorva Kumari contributed 17 runs, and Harshita remained unbeaten on 2. For Assam, Monica claimed one wicket, and two Bihar batters were run out.
In Assam’s innings, Monica top-scored with 45 runs, supported by Gayatri’s 28. Khushi managed 4 runs, while Maina was dismissed for a duck. Priyanka and Rashmi remained unbeaten with 23 and 21 runs, respectively, guiding Assam to victory. Apoorva Kumari picked up one wicket for Bihar, with three Assam batters being run out.
Bihar’s next match is scheduled against Delhi on 24th October.
