Begusarai and Siwan Triumph at 30th Bihar State Sub Junior Ball Badminton Championship

Patna: In an exciting finale at the 30th Bihar State Sub Junior Ball Badminton Championship, held at Radhakrishna Mandir Gulaab Bagh, Barh (Patna), Begusarai clinched the boys’ title, defeating Kilkari 35-27, 35-25. In the girls’ category, Siwan claimed victory over Kilkari with a score of 35-33, 35-26. The tournament was organised by the Bihar Ball Badminton Association in collaboration with the Barh Ball Badminton Association.

Despite Kilkari’s strong performances, they had to settle for runner-up in both the boys’ and girls’ categories. In the boys’ final, standout performances came from Naitik, Ankit, Anshu, and Lalan of Begusarai, as well as Saurav, Gaurav, and Anokha Lal from Kilkari. In the girls’ final, Kajal, Anju, Shibu, and Shivani from Siwan, along with Harshita, Khushi, and Muskan from Kilkari, impressed with their skills.

Anshu Kumar from Begusarai was named best player in the boys’ category, while Kajal Kumari from Siwan took the honour in the girls’ category. Patna and Siwan shared third place in the boys’ competition, and Barh and East Champaran tied for third place in the girls’ category.

In earlier matches, Begusarai defeated Patna 35-26, 35-22 in the boys’ semi-final, while Kilkari edged out Siwan 35-33, 35-27. In the girls’ semi-finals, Kilkari beat Barh 35-27, 35-29, and Siwan triumphed over East Champaran 35-20, 35-19.

Following the final matches, awards were presented by the organising committee chairman, Karnaveer Singh Yadav (alias Lallu Mukhiya), Bihar Ball Badminton Association secretary Gouri Shankar, and Prof. Devendra Prasad. Special guests at the event included social worker Ranveer Kumar Yadav, National General Secretary of Lohia Janata Dal Raju Prasad Chandravanshi, Advocate Nawal Kishore, and Barh Pramukh Upendra Paswan.
