Patna: St. Karen’s High School successfully hosted a comprehensive two-day “Training of Trainers” programme, organised by CBSE, Centre of Excellence (CoE), Patna, in collaboration with the Institute of Secretariat Training and Management (ISTM) under the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Government of India. The event, held on 13th and 14th September 2024, was inaugurated by Ravi Prakash, Head of CBSE CoE, Patna.
The programme featured distinguished resource persons, including:
- Namita Malik, Joint Director and Faculty Member at ISTM, New Delhi, who shared her expertise in training methodologies and educational management.
- Sharad Nautiyal, Master Trainer for DoPT, specialising in the Mentoring course and various Direct Trainer Skills (DTS) programmes.
- Karamjeet Singh Sodhi, Academic Coordinator at the Government School of Directorate of Education, Delhi, renowned for his global contributions to education and teacher training.
- Tej Krishen Razdan, a seasoned trainer for DoPT programmes and former Academic Consultant for the Indian Culinary Institute, Noida.
Sixty-five educators, including resource persons, principals, and teachers from diverse educational backgrounds, actively participated in the workshop. The sessions were designed to equip participants with dynamic training skills aimed at enhancing their ability to train fellow teachers effectively. The workshop fostered interactive learning through engaging sessions and activities, providing participants with valuable insights into various training techniques and methodologies.
This initiative by CBSE, under the Ministry of Education, aims to train 15,000 master trainers who will, in turn, train teachers across the country and abroad in CBSE-affiliated schools, uplifting the educational vision of India.
